ReCognize

ReCognize is a psychology practice based in Melbourne Australia that works with supporting clients of all ages and backgrounds with making changes in their mental health and wellbeing.

Cognize (v): Know or become aware of.

The brief for ReCognize was to create a logo that reflected the companies ideology of helping people Re-Cognize their way of being, their best selves and to shift to more helpful patterns of thinking.

From their point of view, change begins at the mental level in the brain and has a flow-on effect to the rest of the individuals being. The motif of a brain scan and themes of subtlety & change were explored with soothing washes of watercolour and salt layered upon each other - each acting as substratum and trigger.

The final logo was then used as a base to create a business card, influence colour themes and imagery for the clients website.
